I absolutely adore Richelle Mead, especially her VA/Bloodlines series. So, when I was offered the opportunity to participate in a fun promo leading up to the release of The Indigo Spell. There's going to be a new character in the series, and his identity is a bit of a mystery. In fact, these were the teaser questions presented to me:
Is he competition for Adrian for Sydney’s heart?
Is he an Alchemist? An ex-Alchemist??
Is he good? Evil? A Warrior of Light?
Definitely mysterious. So, each weekday from 1/22-2/11 I'll be posting a new clue on the blog that will give us a little bit more of a hint of who exactly this Marcus Flint is. Oh, and just to put the cherry on top of this fun promo, I'll have a hardcover copy of The Indigo Spell to give away to one lucky reader. Enter via the rafflecopter at the bottom of each post, and make sure you come back each day to get your additional entries for tweeting about that day's clue! So without further ado, here is today's clue:
Many of you may know by my gushing reviews that I absolutely adore the Chicagoland series by Chloe Neill. They are at the top of my most anticipated list at all times, which is no small feat considering how many series there are out there that I am madly in love with. I can tell you that you readers are in for a treat once you get your hands on House Rules.
For this tour, Chloe is featuring some of her favorite quotes from the series. And I have to say that I completely agree with today's choice. In fact, I think Merit could have said the same exact thing to Ethan and it would have had the same impact. They are just perfect for each other and have irrevocably changed one another's lives. But this quote coming from Ethan's lips? Definite swoonage!

House Rules by Chloe Neill
Chicagoland Vampires #7
At the tender age of 27, Merit became a sword-wielding vampire. Since
then, she’s become the protector of her House, watched Chicago nearly
burn to the ground, and seen her Master fall and rise. Now she’ll see
her mettle—and her metal—tested like never before. It started with two . . . Two rogues vanishing without a trace.
Someone is targeting Chicago’s vampires, and anyone could be next. With
their house in peril, Merit and her Master, the centuries old Ethan
Sullivan, must race to stop the disappearances. But as they untangle a
web of secret alliances and ancient evils, they realize their foe is
more familiar, and more powerful, than they could have ever imagined.
Author Info:
Chloe Neill is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Chicagoland Vampires and Dark Elite series.
She was born and raised in the South, but now makes her home in the
Midwest–just close enough to Cadogan House and St. Sophia’s to keep an
eye on things. When not transcribing Merit’s and Lily’s adventures, she
bakes, works, and scours the Internet for good recipes and great graphic
design. Chloe also maintains her sanity by spending time with her boys–her favorite landscape photographer/husband and their dogs, Baxter and Scout. (Both she and the photographer understand the dogs are in charge.)
