The Argeneau series is perfect for when you need a lighter paranormal read with a guaranteed HEA. These are true category romance at their finest, a bit formulaic, but guaranteed satisfaction as you know exactly what you'll get from the start. This time added a bit of freshness to the vamp/human pairing plot, in that the hero, while human, already is fully aware of the immortal world. He however, has decided to stay human as immortality holds no appeal for him. This served as a nice change up, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Also, while I won't spoil things, I will mention that there's another big shakeup compared to previous pairing/lifemate rules, and I appreciated the added depth even if I wasn't a big fan of that particular part of the storyline. These little details make this book stand out in this very long running series.
All in all this opposites attract paranormal romp was another enjoyable installment in the Argeneau series. Readers will be rooting for this pair from the start, and will be more than satisfied with the ending.
