Shopping for the Zombie Apocalypse
By Avery Flynn Female Fighters in Fiction

You’d think after writing a zombie fairy tale, I’d be all prepared for the zombie apocalypse. After all, shopping is my superpower. Here are some of the must-haves I’ve found for when the undead rise up.

You know those bracelets for the LiveStrong Foundation? I think of this What’s Your Zombie Action Plan magnet/bracelet the perfect reminder to always be thinking of what if. Also, if someone gets too chatty on public transportation you can always show it to them and ask in your best crazy voice, “What’s your plan?

”There’s a pretty good chance my home owners’ association would not see the humor in it, but I’d love to have my house declared a zombie survival shelter. I wonder where the best place in the house is to seek shelter from zombie attack? Is it like a tornado when you want a windowless room?

It would rock to have these zombie survival soaps in my guest bathroom. “Goat milk is your best line of defense. Goat milk contains specific acids that lower the pH of this soap, making a gentler soap for living skin, but also repellent to the undead.” LOL, that is brilliant!

OK, this zombie survival kit makes me worry a bit. I mean, they’re taking this a little too seriously, right? It contains, “Everything you need to survive for 72 hours after a disaster or during a zombie apocalypse.” You’re with me on this one right?

Finally, I bring you the most important and useful of all my zombie survival shopping finds. A flask. Let’s face it, I suck at running, my aim is awful and I’d make it about two days without the Internet so getting drunk may be my best option. How about you?

Don’t let the fun end now. Enter to win a Jax and the Beanstalk Zombies prize pack (including a Shaun of the Dead DVD, zombie hunting license and more) from Avery Flynn and a $25 Amazon gift card!

Together they’ll climb a magic beanstalk to the cloud kingdom, but will their destiny be the riches they so desire, the passion they thought dead…or will the undead get them first?
