Waiting on Wednesday (2)

, by Kt Clapsadl

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights an upcoming release we are greatly anticipating.

My pick this week:

Pale Demon - Rachel Morgan #9
by Kim Harrison
Publication Date: February 22, 2011
Amazon Pre-Order: Pale Demon

Condemned to death for black magic and shunned, Rachel Morgan has three days to somehow get to the annual witches convention in San Francisco and clear her name. If she fails, the only way she can escape death is to live in the demonic ever after . . . for ever after.

Banned from the flight lists, Rachel teams up with elven tycoon Trent Kalamack, headed for the West Coast for her own mysterious business. But Rachel isn’t the only passenger along for the ride. Can a witch, an elf, a living vampire, and a pixy in one car survive for over 2,300 miles? And that’s not counting the assassin on their tail.

A fearsome demon walks the sunlight, freed after centuries of torment to slay the innocent and devour souls. But his ultimate prey is Rachel Morgan. While the powerful witch with nerves of steel will do whatever it takes to stay alive, even embracing her own demonic nature may not be enough to save her.

I love this series and this cover! Kim is one of my favorite authors, and I really cannot wait for this to be released.

  1. Ahh yes, I most definately will get this when it comes out. I hope that you get your book soon, and that it is everything you hope it to be. Here's my WOW Happy reading!

  2. I was hoping we'd see more of Trent. Him and Al are my favourite characters in this series.

  3. I haven't read any books in this series yet, but the cover for Pale Demon is great. I'll have to check out the rest of the series.

My WoW is Bad Taste in Boys.

  4. AHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! Kim told me about this plot last year when I went to one of her signings and I've been excited ever since. I think this one is going to have a lot of humor in it. Trent in a car with Rach, Ivy, and Jenks? Priceless. Al and pierce are probably going to try and show up too. I can't wait!
